Our Father in Heaven, we thank you for the blessing of children. Help us to see them as gifts from You, that we may accept our responsibility to train them for You. Bless all our children that they may grow in faith and love and serve you all their days. Bless the teachers in our school. Bless our homes and be with each of us so that all we do or say will be a blessing to the children and will glorify you. In Christ Jesus we pray, Amen.
II Old Business: This year’s school dance was a big hit. We had over 50 people show up and enjoy our very own home frown DJ Ms. Groth spinning away a lot of good tunes throughout the evening. The PTL would like to thank all the volunteers who helped to chaperone and help everything stay organized. We look forward to organizing the next dance.
PTL Movie night was also a big hit. We were asked to do a sports themed movie. The Mighty Ducks won in our online poll. Everyone who came was invited to have mini corn dogs and hockey pucks (Ding Dongs) for dessert. This is our last movie night for the school year, we will be scheduling next year’s movie nights soon.
Butter Braids and cookie dough fundraiser was finished on 15 March. We sold 299 items and raised just over $2000. We will be teaming up with Awesome Shrimp for our next fundraiser. All are welcome to attend a presentation from the owners at our next board meeting on 4 April, at 5:30 pm.
III New Business:
We are going to be moving things around and changing things up for fundraising next school year. Our annual golf outing will be moved to spring of 2025. We will be keeping everyone informed of the venue and time. We will be introducing a new fundraiser this year. We will be holding a festival of trees. Stay tuned for announcements as we work to develop it.
Officer elections will take place in May. We are looking to fill the secretary and vice president/president positions. These are 2-year commitments. Please reach out to the current board members for information.
Teacher appreciation week is 6-10 May. We are looking for creative volunteers to help us out. Must be able to keep secrets since we like to surprise our teachers with all kinds of fun things during that week. Contact us if you can lend a hand.
